The driving force behind the idea, quite literally are the vehicle owners.
The story so far:
You had the option of signing up with some agency and register your vehicle. Your vehicle will be called upon if ever required. If not, you are just another number in their database. Some agencies will even charge you a fee upfront to register with the database. Others promise to have you driving around in a new car where the lease is paid for by the advertiser…the variations of this ideas are many.
As a car owner, if I did something like this, it would be of paramount importance to me that I was in control of the choice I had. Just as it was important for an advertiser to know that the driver is responsible, it was important to me as a car owner that I had a word in the endorsement I chose to drive around with, for how long and the money I was prepared to accept in return.
The current vehicle owners profile has all those options. You can bid on ads that meet your requirement. You can even decline one’s that don’t match your needs. You decide how long you want and place bids only as low as you are prepared to go.
If you have more than one car, cashURwheels let’s you register upto 20 vehicles. So give it a try. It’s all free .
Being stuck on Sydney’s Paramatta road for 90 mins in peak hour traffic is no pleasant experience. But at every stone’s throw when all you can see are the huge billboards printed in red asking “Want Longer Lasting Sex?” you can’t help but think – There’s got to be a better way to engage the audience while we travel. As the traffic inched forward slowly, so did this idea of putting means of travel together with outdoor advertising. Wrapped cars have always been around. So the focus on finding out why it had not lent itself to private vehicles and how to change that.
The more I discussed this with others, everyone’s thoughts became apparent. Drivers and vehicle owners were concerned that their precious vehicle would be permanently sprayed with an advertisement and the reluctance to lend their cars to such an idea was only natural. But that reluctance faded away as they found out about the new vinyl wraps. The wraps go on and off just as easily and do not damage the car paint. Most wrapping agencies even guarantee their work too. Reluctance turned to anticipation when coupled with the possibility of getting paid to do this. But there are way too many scams on the internet which claim to do something similar and knowing whom to trust can be difficult.
Advertisers, particularly small businesses on the other hand were concerned that they could not afford to spend like a big business and this may just be to expensive and times were difficult to make expensive decisions. It was also important for the businesses to be able to trust that the person behind the wheel will be responsible driver; After all, this person would be driving their brand name and reputation.
Wrapping agencies are an integral part of the outdoor advertising. It is their eye catching design and wraps that get the advertisers message across in the best possible visualization. So addressing their concerns was important too.
After much discussions, brain storming and research cashURwheels was born.
