The Idea.

Being stuck on Sydney’s Paramatta road for 90 mins in peak hour traffic is no pleasant experience. But at every stone’s throw when all you can see are the huge billboards printed in red asking “Want Longer Lasting Sex?” you can’t help but think – There’s got to be a better way to engage the audience while we travel. As the traffic inched forward slowly, so did this idea of putting means of travel together with outdoor advertising. Wrapped cars haveĀ  always been around. So the focus on finding out why it had not lent itself to private vehicles and how to change that.

The more I discussed this with others, everyone’s thoughts became apparent. Drivers and vehicle owners were concerned that their precious vehicle would be permanently sprayed with an advertisement and the reluctance to lend their cars to such an idea was only natural. But that reluctance faded away as they found out about the new vinyl wraps. The wraps go on and off just as easily and do not damage the car paint. Most wrapping agencies even guarantee their work too. Reluctance turned to anticipation when coupled with the possibility of getting paid to do this. But there are way too many scams on the internet which claim to do something similar and knowing whom to trust can be difficult.

Advertisers, particularly small businesses on the other hand were concerned that they could not afford to spend like a big business and this may just be to expensive and times were difficult to make expensive decisions. It was also important for the businesses to be able to trust that the person behind the wheel will be responsible driver; After all, this person would be driving their brand name and reputation.

Wrapping agencies are an integral part of the outdoor advertising. It is their eye catching design and wraps that get the advertisers message across in the best possible visualization. So addressing their concerns was important too.

After much discussions, brain storming and research cashURwheels was born.
